Dr. Omar Tamimi joined Dr. Cohen in 1992. He is Board Certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and University of St. George’s Medical School. His medical training was completed at Seton Hall University, St. Joseph’s hospital, Patterson, NJ. Since completing his medical training he has performed over 15,000 endoscopic procedures and has vast experience in all aspects of the practice of Gastroenterology. Dr. Tamimi has been a member of the executive committee at Kimball Medical Center since 2003 and served as the Chief of the Medical Staff from 2007-2009. Dr. Tamimi and his wife Patty have three children with whom they are very involved. Dr. Tamimi enjoys outdoor sports, vacationing and spending time with his family and is a big fan of Bruce Springsteen.
